Dr. Anderson has been interested in animals his whole life. When someone asked him at 4 years old what he wanted to do, he said to be a doctor. When asked what type of doctor, he said doggy doctor. He grew up on a farm in Virginia and started working with large animals at age 11. He received his DVM from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech and has dedicated his life to Veterinary Medicine. This is his way to help others by helping their loved ones.
I've had very good experiences with the doctor and the team. I first met her during the pandemic when my son brought in a stray kitten. She was totally upfront and honest about his condition, which wasn't the best, gave her recommendations, kept it honest if we wanted to take him to the hospital and invest all this money but there could be a chance he doesn't make it so make him comfortable and just continue to love on him and she did what she could at her office and it wasn't crazy high cost. Fast forward a year later, he made it! But there was an incident where he had to have an obstruction surgery, seen her after and was happy to know he lived longer than what was expected but kept it honest again, changed his diet on prescription food right away and now we do our yearly visit. Just seen her recently and she gave us good news on how he's doing....
My previous vet had a 2 month waiting period for routine appointments. That's just silly. Got referred here by my mom, and was able to book an appointment in days, not months. Got my pet seen, meds prescribed and done. They work fine with Chewy, so I can order refills on the meds. Staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Dr Amsel is awesome. I have a new vet and I'm stoked....
The employees and veterinarian here are wonderful. I was anxious to find a good veterinarian when I moved to this area and I'm very happy with the services they have provided to my cats.
I have been very impressed with this clinic, vet, and staff altogether! One, they are always very friendly and patient (I know my mom and I can be a handful). Two, the vet is very knowledgeable and accommodating, and she answers all of our questions in a caring way. Three, they have handled covid-19 precautions in a very proactive and respectful way, while still finding a way to treat our cat! You and your pets will be taken good care of here....
